What The New Face Mask Policies Mean for USECU and Our Members

On Friday, April 3, San Diego County added mask-wearing policies to its public health order. The new policies state that employees who work with the general public must wear a cloth face mask or coverings.

To comply with this order, and to do everything we can to limit the spread of COVID-19, USE Credit Union staff members who work with the public are now wearing cloth face masks.

The policy does not require members of the general public to wear facial coverings, but it does encourage them to do so. Officials have recommended that San Diegans use cloth masks because surgical masks and N95 respirator masks are in short supply and should be saved for medical professionals.

In their comments, county leaders emphasized how important it is to “change the trajectory” of the epidemic, and we couldn’t agree more.
