The Big Bank Agenda: Abolish Your Credit Union Benefits!
Your credit union is under attack and needs your help now!

Banks are aggressively mobilizing against credit unions, seeking to end the substantial benefits you enjoy as a credit union member. How? By pushing laws that limit credit union products and services through taxation, bankers hope to squeeze credit unions out of the marketplace. That will leave them free to gouge consumers and fatten their bottom lines. To compete against bankers' well-funded national campaign, credit union members must pull together and connect with opinion leaders and elected officials.

To help and be heard, please take the following action step immediately:

1. Go to Connect for the Cause ( www.connectforthecause.org ) and sign in; on the Website, go to the Federal Center, scroll down to the "Take Immediate Action" area and click on the "Credit Union Tax Status" link. This will allow you to send an email to your Member of Congress in opposition of taxing credit unions.
2. Call the Washington , D.C. office of your Member of Congress ( see telephone numbers here ) and let him/her know you oppose taxation of credit unions. Ask that Members of the Ways and Means Committee know a tax on credit unions is a tax increase on 89 million Americans!
3. Fax and/or mail a letter  to the Washington , D.C. office of your Member of Congress ( see fax numbers and addresses here ). Please make sure to include you signature, name, and home address on the letter.
