How can I order a Visa Xpress ATM & CheckCard?
You can obtain a Visa Xpress ATM & CheckCard with any USE Credit Union checking account  (except Get CheckingTM and Money Market Accounts with check access). To order your new card, stop by your local branch or contact USE Member Services at (866) USE-4-YOU (873-4968).

What should I do if my card is lost or stolen?
A lost or stolen Visa Xpress ATM & CheckCard should be reported immediately. To do so:

  • Stop by your local branch.
  • Call USE Member Services at (866) USE-4-YOU (873-4968): Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; Wednesday, 9:00 a.m - 6:00 pm; Saturday, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
  • After regular business hours and on weekends, call Visa at (800) 682-6075 if in the U.S. Call Visa collect at (206) 352-3478 if outside the U.S. They will block your card, so no one else can use it. Then, call or stop by USE during regular business hours to order your replacement card.

How is my Visa Xpress ATM & CheckCard different from a credit card?
Unlike a credit card, purchases and other withdrawals made with your Visa Xpress ATM & CheckCard are directly debited from your checking account. There is also no interest owed by you on the transactions you make with your Visa Xpress ATM & CheckCard. Like a Visa credit card, you can use your Visa Xpress ATM & CheckCard anywhere you see the Visa logo.

Plus, when you use your Visa Xpress ATM & CheckCard as a Visa card (swipe and sign), there are no point-of-sale charges from USE (please note that a merchant may charge a fee for this service); whereas, there are fees associated with using your card as a debit card at merchants.

Can I use my Visa Xpress ATM & CheckCard to rent a car or reserve/pay for a hotel room?
Yes, the card is accepted wherever Visa is. But often times establishments will put a hold on funds in your account that exceed the purchase price, for collateral protection. Make sure you understand the merchant's freezing policy and have sufficient funds in your account to cover any charges that may clear.

Do I need a PIN to use my card at Visa merchant locations?
No, a PIN is not necessary when using your Visa Xpress ATM & CheckCard as a credit card in stores (that is, you select "credit" on the merchant's transaction pad and sign for the purchase). But you will need a PIN if you use your Visa Xpress ATM & CheckCard as a debit card (that is, you select "debit" on the merchant's transaction pad and enter your secret personal identification number).

Are there transaction fees for using my Visa Xpress ATM & CheckCard?
There are no transaction fees charged by USE Credit Union when you sign for purchases, but some merchant fees may apply. There is a small transaction fee for using your card as a debit card at merchants.

Where can I use my Visa Xpress ATM & CheckCard to withdraw cash or inquire about account balances?
You can withdraw cash from your checking account and view your account information using your Visa Xpress ATM & CheckCard at any USE Credit Union ATM or other ATM worldwide displaying the Visa, Cirrus®, Maestro®, Star®, or CO-OP Network® logos. You can also inquire about your account balance by visiting your local branch, calling (866) USE-4-YOU (873-4968), or logging in to Online Banking.

Can I use my Visa Xpress ATM & CheckCard to pay my monthly bills?
Yes, the Visa Xpress ATM & CheckCard can be used as a credit card to pay bills - even over the phone. But don't forget that the charges will be debited directly from your checking account.

Which merchants will accept my Visa Xpress ATM & CheckCard as a form of payment?
Your Visa Xpress ATM & CheckCard will be accepted anywhere worldwide where Visa debit cards are accepted.
