URGENT ALERT - Protect Your Credit Union Debit Cards
Last week the US Senate approved the Financial Regulatory Reform Bill including a provision that would mandate price controls on the interchange fees paid by merchants for accepting debit cards. This bill has unintended consequences for credit union members and every consumer with a debit card in his or her wallet.   
 
Contact your federal legislators TODAY and ask them to oppose the Senate-passed interchange provision by mailing or faxing this letter to your elected official, OR visit connectforthecause.org to make your voice heard.

What is "Connect for the Cause"?
"Connect for the Cause" is sponsored by the California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues as a means to "connect" credit union members in a common voice on items that matter most to the credit union movement.  Through the technologies provided through a dedicated "Connect for the Cause" website, credit union supporters are able to unite as a network advocacy group and communicate quickly and easily with state and federal legislators on pending issues affecting credit unions and their ability to serve members.  "Connect for the Cause" also affords the California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues a way to keep you informed of governmental developments as they happen. Grassroot outreach efforts like this have the greatest impact on legislators and reinforce the other advocacy tools employed by the League's Government Affairs Department
