Member Service Representative II - Floater (Temporary)
A Member Service Representative is the front line employee, serving as the first point of contact for USE Members. This individual proactively participates in the cross selling of credit union products & services by establishing a professional rapport with members to assess their financial needs. Responsibilities include accepting cash & check deposits; accurately & efficiently processing withdrawals & cashing checks. 

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • 2 years of credit union / banking experience required
  • Previous sales and customer service experience required
  • Must have strong cash handling, sales and customer service skills
  • Ability to sell products and services effectively
  • Ability to interpret banking regulations and compliance standards
  • Ability to build & maintain relationships with internal and external members
  • Must be able to multi-task & be detailed oriented
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral form
  • Must be able to travel/work in all six San Diego branches and in Corporate Office

Salary Range:  $13.00/hr


Senior Financial Accountant
Following general instructions and with discretion as to work details, performs a wide variety of accounting tasks requiring experienced professional knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Is responsible for preparation of financial board reports and management of loan and investment portfolios for the credit union.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Requires a four year B.S. or BA degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field
  • Requires 2-3 years of related experience
  • Credit union or financial institution experience is required
  • Must have knowledge of accounting principles and theories
  • Strong organizational & analytical skills a must
  • Strong mathematical reasoning a must
  • Must be able to multi-task & be detail oriented
  • Must be able to maintain department security and confidentiality
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral form
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel and Word) a must; prefer advanced skill set

Salary Range:  $39,663 - $54,500


Loan Call Center Representative:
Responsible for processing loan applications by phone, cross-selling products and services,  closing and disbursing loans and providing information concerning consumer loans.  Responsible for delivering premier member service.

Required Skills, knowledge, and abilities:

  • Must have 1-3 years related experience in a financial institution
  • Must be able to multi-task
  • Able to work in fast pace evolving environment and work under a sense of urgency
  • Previous lending and sales experience a required
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral form
  • Knowledge of Appro and Quikloan, a plus
  • Minimum of one year related consumer loan experience in consumer loan interviewing, consumer loan set-up and processing.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and be able to type 30 wpm
  • Knowledge of credit union products and services preferred
  • Proven track record in meeting all sales goals and objectives preferred
  • Ability to provide supporting documentation for the following:  Sales record & goal achievement is a plus

Salary Range:  $35,000 - $44,000


Member Service Center Representative:
The Member Service Center Representative at USE Credit Union is responsible for processing financial transactions and answering member account and service inquiries over the telephone in a timely manner.  This individual proactively participates in the cross selling of credit union products and services by establishing a professional rapport with members to assess their financial needs.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • 2 years previous banking/credit union experience required
  • Previous experience in a call center environment preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred
  • Must have strong sales and customer service experience
  • Ability to sell products and services effectively
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral form
  • Ability to interpret banking regulations and compliance standards
  • Ability to build & maintain relationships with internal and external members
  • Must be able to multi-task, function in a fast paced environment and be detail oriented

Salary Range:  $12.00 - 13.50/hr


Member Service Center Lead
A Lead Member Service Center Representative processes financial transactions and answers member account and service inquiries over the telephone in a timely manner, ensuring premier member service.  Proactively participates in the cross selling of credit union products and services.  Assists in the training of new Member Service Center employees and is the "acting supervisor" in the absence of Member Service Center Supervisors.

In the absence of the MSC Management, may directly supervise 15 employees in the Member Service Center. Responsibilities include training employees; assigning, and directing work; rewarding and disciplining employees; appraising performance, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • One to two years of call center experience in a financial institution required
  • 2  years experience in a similar role with a credit union/bank required
  • Ability to supervise and train lower level employees is required
  • Customer service oriented demeanor required
  • Ability to sell products and services effectively
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral form
  • Ability to interpret banking regulations and compliance standards
  • Ability to build & maintain relationships with internal and external members
  • Must be able to multi-task and function in a fast paced environment
  • Must be detail oriented
