USE Credit Union considers employees our most important asset. Therefore, we are committed to offering a benefit package that provides protection and well-being for employees and their families.
Healthcare
USE pays 100% of the medical, dental, vision, and life insurance premium coverage for regular employees who are guaranteed 30 hours or more per week. Coverage for a significant other, domestic partner, and eligible dependents is available for purchase at your own expense. Coverage for employees who are guaranteed 24 hours or less per week is available for purchase at your own expense directly from our broker.
Retirement and Pre-Tax
USE offers a 401(k) plan through Fidelity Investments, which you are eligible to enroll in after 6 consecutive months of service, with immediate vesting. USE currently matches 100% up to the first 5% of your deferral each payroll period.
USE has a Flexible Benefits Plan, which allows you to pay your group insurance premiums, daycare expenses, and un-reimbursed medical and dental expenses with pre-tax deduction dollars. The annual amount is $5,000 for Dependent Care and $1000 for health care.
Wellness Programs
Programs that offer preventive health and wellness counseling, personal and/or emotional counseling to include a 24/7 Crisis Hot Line are available to you and your dependents. All services are confidential and offer affordable treatment.
Income and Survivor Protection
Sick Leave, State Disability Insurance, Workers' Compensation, Life Insurance, Short-term/Long-term Disability, Accidental Death & Dismemberment, and Long-term Care are available to help you and your dependents maintain a stable income if you should become disabled as a result of injury, illness, or if you should die as a result of a covered accident.
Educational Reimbursement
For regular full time employees completing 1 year of service, USE will provide up to $500.00 each calendar year to attend an accredited institution, course of study, seminar, certificate program, or correspondence course to enhance your professional goals. The courses must be directly related to your current or future position and area of responsibility.
We also provide up to $100.00 each calendar year for all employees who elect to attend an investment class to enhance personal knowledge of diversity, risks, and understanding of 401(k), investments, and personal financial planning.
Additional Benefits
In addition to the benefits mentioned, we also offer you paid vacation, holiday, bereavement leave, jury duty, discounted fitness club memberships, discounted tickets to movies and events, free and discounted banking services, reduced loan rates, employee computer loans, and reimbursement programs for using the Internet and Online Banking. Incentive programs are available to all employees for sales and referrals of loan products, referring new members to join, and referring new employees. For specific positions, a quarterly incentive is also given for performance in meeting or exceeding corporate goals.
